International Literacy Day

Each year, UNESCO celebrates International Literacy Day, which was September 8, to raise awareness and support for literacy around the world. According to UNESCO, 757 million adults worldwide, two-thirds of which are women, still lack basic literacy skills.

To support global literacy, visit www.BetterWorldBooks.com which stands in support of literacy and works year-round to bring books to those in need while partnering with libraries, schools and literacy charities around the world.
